Ring Sizing Guide

The most accurate way to find out your finger size would be to visit a Phillip Stoner store, where a member of staff can assist you. If you are unable to visit, we would be happy to send you a Free Ring Sizer.

Ring Sizing FAQs

If you aren’t sure what finger size your partner needs, we would suggest ordering a size ‘M’, which is our most popular size and the size we usually carry in-store.

After you have presented the ring, we would be happy to make any adjustments to the size in our on-site workshop. For newly bought engagement rings, wedding rings and eternity rings, the first sizing is free of charge.

Most of our rings can be resized from I-Q without any problems. If your fingers are bigger or smaller we can usually resize the rings to fit, but do have to be careful not to disturb the settings. This means resizing might take a little longer.

In rare cases we may advise remaking the ring for you. Please email info@phillipstoner.com if you would like to enquire about a particular ring.

Please note: Rings that have been discounted in the Sale may incur a resizing fee if they need to be made bigger or smaller than the options displayed on our website.

Our Jewellery Workshop is on-site in our Victoria Quarter Leeds boutique. This means we can usually resize our rings within a week, if not sooner.

It’s normal for fingers to fluctuate in size, usually swelling in the evening or in warmer weather. This means your rings might feel tighter at the end of the day, when you go on holiday, or in Summer.

Although we can make your rings bigger, bear in mind that in Winter they could then feel loose or be in danger of falling off.

Finding your perfect size is about finding a balance that you’re comfortable with. After a few weeks, if your rings are uncomfortable to wear or could fall off, visit us in-store and we’d be happy to assist you.

Eternity or Wedding Bands that are fully-set with Diamonds can’t be resized so we would recommend being measured professionally before ordering.

We can resize rings that have been purchased elsewhere, but would need to see them in-store before we can give you an accurate cost and timescale.

If your ring is quite decorative, fully-set with stones or needs to be resized more than 3-4 sizes, we may advise against resizing it.

Sizings start at £55 but will depend on the precious metal, number of sizes it needs to increase/decrease and the amount of work involved.
